Step Back in Time at the Australian Armour & Artillery Museum

Experience one of the world’s largest collections of armoured vehicles and artillery. Our daily displays feature genuine pieces of history, including captured items from World War I and II, North Africa, and the Pacific. Marvel at tanks, armoured personnel carriers, and anti-tank vehicles while learning about their roles during the World Wars—history brought to life in one convenient location in Far North Queensland!

Add some excitement to your visit with an army-style adventure! Take a ride in our decommissioned Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), specially reconfigured for 10 passengers, available daily at 11 am and 2 pm (subject to demand; minimum four people) for just $20 for adults and $15 for children.

Perfect for the whole family, our Kids Corner invites children to dress as soldiers, try on genuine army gear, and engage with our battle re-creation table to spark their imaginations. Our indoor kids’ playground offers a fun space for younger visitors to enjoy, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Don’t miss our underground 50m Shooting Gallery, where you can fire wartime firearms like the .303 or K98 Mauser, or try something more modern for an unforgettable Cairns experience!

During your visit, relax in our self-service café with coffee, tea, or a cool drink, and explore our retail section, featuring a unique selection of novelty items, toys, model kits, reference books, and souvenirs. We proudly supply the Far North with a full range of AFV models, Tamiya paints, and accessories.

Join us for a historic day out—where learning meets adventure!
